.	White Cross Sports Card - These cards provide the holder with a waiver of the ACC surcharge (approximately $15) charged by White Cross for a patient whose consultation is covered by ACC. Unfortunately the waiver only applies to the first visit for each injury but can be used for multiple injuries. The cards can be used at White Cross's clinics throughout Auckland and Whangarei.

TEAM/LEAGUE BOWLING

What is a League/Team bowling??

Most leagues are fun & social, but some can be competitive.
Basically teams of either 1, 2, 3 or 4 bowlers play once a week for around 40 weeks of the year. (which is usually 3 rounds)
Most start around the end of January and finish late November, early December, Like most other sports, each team plays a different team each week. Points are given to a team every week for winning individual & team games.
Most of our leagues are handicapped, so that it is even for everyone. There is a joining fee of $5.00 that gives you membership to the National Body and the local Waitakere Go Bowling Club for the calendar year.
Each week you pay for the cost of the games and a nominated amount into your leagues prize fund that gets paid out to the winning teams at the end of each round.

What Is A Handicap??

A handicap makes the game more even for bowlers of different skill levels.. For example on a 100% of 200 handicap system, if you average 100 per game, you will get approximately 100 handicap and if someone else in your league averages 150 they will get approximately 50 handicap. So it really comes down to who beats their average by the most as to who will be the winner.
Some leagues use different handicap percentages but this is the most common percentage system.
Your handicap is added to your scratch score every game and will change weekly, depending on how well you managed to bowl the previous week.
